I like how the only armor is on her collarbone, wrists, and ankles. That's definitely the best way to go into battle: almost completely unprotected. Ask any fighter, and they'll tell you, indeed, the best way to fight is half-naked with a sword that's mostly ceremonial.
Yes, who needs reasonable or thoughtful design when you have hormones instead? It's definitely a stronger design choice, calibrated to appeal to the lowest common denominator (which is, fortunately for you, the most common of common denominators).
haha Man, I guess I am a bit side tracked from my original goal. I still would like to draw some comics that the majority of people could view and tell stories that don't involve a camera full of boob. It was pretty hard to stay on track after leaving the SCAD environment though. I miss those interactions and feeding off all the enthusiasm for the craft that I don't appear to have enough of anymore on my own. Thanks for the pep though, maybe there is something still there.
Yeah, it gets tough. I've been gone for 5 1/2 months now, myself. It's taken some real "glue myself to my desk" but just the excitement of creating keeps me going. That and a lot of facebook chatting with friends still out there.
I sort of missed the whole facebook bandwagon and avoided it during college. I ended up losing contact with a lot of people. The ones I did know didn't seem too interested in comics by the end, anyways. :l Pretty sure I'm a hermit at heart. I probably need to put more effort into keeping up with people though, it's getting pretty lonely here. haha
